The RTS-1 is an 8-port unit that can be linked with a total
of 7 units for 56 port coverage. Installation requires one RJ-31
(optional RJ-11 available) per port with one AC power supply for
all units. Operating instructions are in non-volatile memory.
Indicator lights show operating status for on-site verification.
Simple DTMF commands control the RTS-1. Any port can be used for
reaching the RTS-1. When calling in, the RTS-1 answers after a
preset number of rings. It then waits for an identity code
before giving access. Once into the RTS-1 you can move from port
to port, take lines off-hook and on-hook, and dial out using
DTMF or dial pulse. Tone prompts guide you through the usage.
Other functions include remote programming and remote
diagnostics. The unit counts how many times it was used as a
measurement of activity and for security checks.
Model RTS-1C is the control unit and is complete with the unit,
AC power supply, eight 4-pair line cords with RJ-31 or RJ-11
plugs and manual.
Model RTS-1 E is the expansion version and is complete with the
unit, ribbon cable and eight 4-pair line cords.
